When to harvest beans?

Beans for "dry seeds" are harvested when the pods are completely dried. Dwarf asparagus beans, on the other hand, can be harvested multiple times, every 4-5 days, as the pods mature. The harvest of beans begins in July and, depending on the timing of seed sowing and weather conditions, can last until the end of September. Harvesting of pole asparagus beans starts a bit later because the first pods reach maturity for harvesting in August and September.
Why do other vegetables grow well after beans?

After the vegetative period, beans leave behind a soil rich in nutrients and nitrogen, which is fixed from the air by nodules on their roots, especially when their roots remain in the soil after harvesting. The following year, this is an excellent and valuable site for growing many plants, excluding legumes.
